Who we are?
AFAK is an NGO created in 1995, by Pr. Abderrahim Harouchi, and has the Public Utility status.
Since its creation, AFAK has been active in the field of Citizenship and Education.
Our goal is to make people realize how our daily activities impact the development of our country. In fact, we were not born good citizens, we become public-minded citizens thanks to education.
In order to modify attitudes and behaviors, Information, Education and Communication are recognized to be the most effective tools. Hence, AFAK has adapted its means to the targeted audience:
1- Radio campaigns, targeting the general audience, in urban and rural areas
2- Posters in public areas and within companies, to raise awareness during events or to warn against dangerous behaviors
3- Brochures, flyers, instruction books
4- Audio recordings dealing with civic values, development, environment and quality, aimed at associations that are active in the areas of literacy and citizenship
5- Digital actions, framed with AFAK’s communication strategy, in order to create and sustain a real connection with the youth.
6- Educational materials, since AFAK reaches from pre-school to University.
Development requires a level of individual and collective awareness that is neither innate nor given, but that is acquired through Education, and that turns each one of us into a stakeholder of development.

A citizen who is informed, accountable and committed to a civic-minded behavior towards the environment
Education is the corner stone to changing behaviors towards the environment and the climate; the only tool allowing the population to link the consequences of climate issues to their root causes (small causes, big effects).
To be an eco-citizen 360 days a year
Build citizens’ awareness in order to implement eco-friendly behaviors on a daily basis, that are simple and beneficial to the environment, and also economical both for everybody, be it individuals and/OR companies
Communication and education program, targetting a large audience
Radio messages that are simple, relevant, memorable and motivating
Arabic dialect, understandable by all, with a humoristic touch
Wholistic, 360°, omni-channel communication plan, leveraging the various media to secure a wide reach of the target.
